Epilepsy affects approximately 3 to 3.5% of Australians at some point in their lives and over 250,000 Australians currently live with epilepsy. As nurses, we care for patients with a new diagnosis of epilepsy or with a history of epilepsy,, as well as patients presenting to hospital with seizures due to a variety of medical conditions. Join Melissa Bartley as we have a refresher about epilepsy, seizure management and new developments in treatment for people with epilepsy.

About our Speaker:
Melissa Bartley is the Epilepsy Nurse Specialist at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, New South Wales, continuing in this role for the past 10 years.
She is passionate about providing best evidence care for people living with epilepsy, particularly those requiring advanced diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for complex epilepsy.
