Session Overview:

The 2020 International Year of the Nurse and Midwife is a once in a generation opportunity to propel nursing and midwifery into the spotlight and onto the agenda of governments globally, with the ultimate goal of improving health for all. Nurses around the world are needed now more than ever.
The “State of the World’s Nursing” report, released earlier this year, provided a global picture of the nursing workforce. While there is much to celebrate, at the same time there are inequities in the distribution of nurses around the world. 9 million more nurses and midwives are needed globally by 2030. Investing in the education and development of nurses and allowing them to work to their full potential are some of the most valuable things we can do to improve global health outcomes.

Join Professor Jill White as she talks about the valuable work of the Nursing Now! Campaign and the role that every nurse has in learning, leading and delivering quality essential healthcare services around the world.
